The same story of despair as many others during the last fifty years. However, under the ruinous coat, there was hidden a fabulous church, a precious gem, an example of the noble origin, a building which evokes the feeling of ability to fly over the horizon, to the land of joy and happiness. Somewhere there an idea had been born, the idea, which had seemed to be entirely non-realistic - to repair the church and to open it again... Finally, thanks to the client’s persistence and determination, and the firm belief, that all troubles would be overcome, the project had been developed. Preliminaries, the archaeological research, and the first plaster probing started. Immediately it was evident, that the project was just a clue for an overall scheme. It was based on a consequent restoring approach to the restoration of the entire building and the total submission to the original, without creative ambitions. The method of qualified selection was used. It helped, after detailed argumentation of the professionals, to correct each following work procedure in consideration of undisputed art and old values of all affected parts. The interior lighting solution was an independent and challenging chapter; due to floor lights, it was possible to illuminate the walls and the vault without lamps sometimes resulting in disturbing effects. New discoveries caused that activities had to be rectified at frequent site meetings to end up with the currently presented result. Restored fragments of the Baroque furnishings remain to be re-installed; the church can then be used again as befits a church.
